Who We Are

Going Green

While Kermit the Frog is noted to have said, “It isn’t easy being green”, we can all agree it is worth trying to do all we can to be as green as we can be. Working together, both printers and customers can make a difference.

So how does a printer become Greener?

In regard to the strides Printegration has made, we:

* Use the most eco-friendly papers available
* Reduce or eliminate the use of toxic chemicals, waste ink, and solvents
* Use fully biodegradable inks
* Run waterless and digital presses
* Educate our customers about how to reduce a project's environmental impact

As the customer, what can you do to reduce the environmental impact of your next job?

Here are some fundamental questions that should be considered when planning your next marketing project:

1. Can the job be printed on paper containing a high percentage of post-consumer recycled fiber?

At Printegration we are happy to provide our clients access to our extensive paper library and to help you research different stock alternatives. You can count on us to suggest just the right stock for your next printing project including papers with a high percentage of post-consumer content.

2. Can your job be printed with low-polluting inks?

For the least amount of environmental impact, consider printing your next project using either our four color Karat press which is completely waterless or our digital presses.

At Printegration, we are proud to use environmentally friendly inks in all our conventional offset presses.

Even though biodegradable inks are better for the environment, be aware that not all inks colors are created equally. When designing your next project, avoid specifying inks containing heavy metals like lead, cadmium, and mercury, which are commonly used to produce some bright colors. When in doubt, ask us to suggest ink alternatives that will have the least amount of impact on the environment.

3. What can be done to improve the recyclability of the print job?

Think about the long-term impact of your next printing project. Coatings, laminates, inks, foils, adhesives, labels, and paper selection can all affect the recyclability of a printed document. Working together, Printegration can help you to find alternative ways to get the desired effect of your design demands without inhibiting the recyclability of the finished piece. Sometimes something as simple as eliminating the polypatch window on the carrier envelope of your next mailing is all it takes to ensure your project remains planet friendly.

4. What can be done to reduce waste?

Print and mail just what you need, when you need it and send materials to prospects that are most likely to respond.

When ordering printing materials, it is okay to order a quantity of just 850 if that is all you need. With our digital printing resources, we can print on demand and produce runs as small as one. There is no longer a need order materials that might soon become obsolete and will later be trashed.

When deciding to conduct your next marketing effort, mail only to those prospects that have indicated, either through demographics or behavior, a possible interest in your product or service. Mass mailing efforts can be wasteful as pieces are often mailed blindly to large unqualified groups.

Printegration is expert in helping clients create targeted mailing lists that generate the best return. Whether purchasing lists based upon certain demographics, or data mining within your existing client data bases, Printegration can help you determine which prospects to target and which prospects are least likely to respond to your mailing efforts.

When you choose to work with Printegration, you can be certain that you have chosen a partner committed to helping you maximize your return on investment while at the same time minimizing the impact on the environment.
